Work for work when I'm working.

In my heart, I'm a painter. That's all I want to do. I have, however, been designing toys for a living for almost ten years now, and that's pretty exciting too. I feel fortunate to have fallen into the industry, and it's been a ride.

So here's the kind of stuff I could be working on any given day. Gettin' mad moniez for drawing stuffed cats is really kind of unfair, I think. For others, I mean. For me it's great... even when it's maddening.

So, here's a tour.

Barbie. I do love her so, even though she's so cruel to me. These are some Barbie projects for assorted clients.



I actually only did this for in-house promotion of our ability to develop characters, stories and product/doll bases to develop from a merchandising point of view. Jolene's got a journal and she writes about her life in it every show - can't you just see the show already?



Knex Men packaging concepts.



The "Stuft" cat was totally my concept, and I took it to prototype for my design co. to take to partner, possibly. [Parties that may or may not be a large toy company in the US] are considering a whole line based around it.



Sigh... yes, it's Hannah Montana. Gotz ta pay the bills.

Joker's Wild.

The Autumn Society has put together a show called "Joker's Wild" - all about, yes, the Joker. The reception is this Friday night (First Friday!). Show's up at Brave New Worlds, 45 North 2nd St (Philly).
